Alex Ender (Born Alexander Piven on 22 August 1994 in Omsk) is a Russian Trance DJ and Producer whose tracks are played by such famous DJs like Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila, Paul Oakenfold, M.I.K.E., Gareth Emery and many others.
Alexander was engaged in electronic music at the age of 13 under the influence of Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schulz. He has been listening to theirs radio shows online every week and then he set a goal to be played in these radio shows.
In 2010 Alexander started to release his first own productions but in 3 years he did not succeed in it.
Therefore he decided to change his sound and alias. Then he became Alex Ender. And in 2014 Alex achieved the first success releasing his collaboration with Russian ex-duo Allion “Monterini” on Markus Schulz’ label Coldharbour Recordings. Markus played this track all over the world more than a year at such festivals like Tomorrowland (Belgium), Dance Valley (Germany), Transmission (Czech Republic), and in the biggest clubs of the world – Amnesia (Ibiza), The Guvernment (Toronto), Ministry Of Sound (London). It was a big impulse for Alexander’s further work.
In 2015 he began to cooperate with Armada, Black Hole Recordings, Enhanced. During that year he released “Whispers”, “Trivial Things”, “The Road Has No End” and “Scorcher” (with Sergey Brodovsky) which were supported by leading Trance DJs. His last release of 2015 “To The Sun / Red Woods” on FSOE Excelsior was a good conclusion of the year – It was supported by Armin Van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Gareth Emery and many others.
In 2016 Alex continues to work with FSOE Excelsior and releases 2nd EP ‘Unexplored / The Day After Tomorrow’ which got massive support from many Trance DJs! After that he teams up with British vocalist Jo Cartwright for a new tune called ‘Trembling Sadness’ releasing it on Raz Nitzan’s label Essentializm.
Some interesting fact that Alexander was one of the competitors for the ASOT 750 Anthem. His production was presented by Armin Van Buuren on the air of A State Of Trance but finally it did not win.
The first Alex Ender’s gigs were held in 2011 when he played in a small club in hometown. In 2014 he played his set on the Russian festival TranceMission hosted by DJ FEEL with the headliner Jochen Miller
